Dearest readers...

We now present to you...

Isabella!!

Beautiful, beautiful baby girl to Michael Jr. and Kressant.

Blessed be the name of the Lord! What a sweet, soft, cuddly bundle of precious pinkness this baby girl is!

They are going to call her Isa (prenounced e-sah) when they need to shorten it. (a middle name is yet to be annouced) She weighted in at 8 lbs and 1 little ounce! Little Isa is such a joy, and is so lady like and cute. We can hardly stand it!! Isn't she beautiful!? (But with such lovely Great-Grandmothers, we are not surprised !! Three cheers for Nana and Nanny and Super Grand Daddy and GrandPa Charles!! Love you all!) She's always moving her mouth (I think we've got another bubbly girl around here, LOL!) and has blue eyes (as of right now) with soft brownish blonde hair, and the prefect cheeks for kissing!! :) We woves hers so, so much... We're so happy and thankful for this new niece and grand daughter.

Kressy is doing well, and we are all so proud of her. Two weeks over, about a 14 hour labor and a fluffy baby!! What an incredible woman she is. (I can't wait to do a family photo shoot with the New Addition! :)

Horray for Kressy Belle and Michael Jr.!!

"Look at her eyes..." (LOL, for you Beth, from Emma!;)

I've got pictures and fun stuff, so hopefully I'll see you tomorrow! Aunt Jackie, Maud, Sitara and Gavido are here, and we are loving it so! She makes me laugh... We miss Bethy and the rest of you Smithies so bad! Looking forward to when y'all can come down...

We is all 'ti-red' (as Caleb D. would say, LOL) so I shall hop to bed! It's been a beautiful day! Tomorrow is our Baby's-here-party for her!!

I shall dedicate an M&M to each of you. :)

I love you all! Thanks so much for all of your prayers for Michael, Kressant and their little family. They are such a blessing. They truly are a gift, as a mother brings a baby into this world.

Goodnight!

Love a happy, overjoyed and thoroughy smitten,

Aunt Adeline, for all of us

P.S. I love you, Isabella! So much. God bless you richly all your days, and may He cause you to seek Him early. Love forever, Aunt Poogie

The 2011 Style Show and Father/Son Camp-Out

Thanks so much for inquiring about the 2011 Style Show and the Father/Son Camp-Out planned for June 10-12. We have had a grand time planning and preparing for the weekend. It is all so exciting, we can hardly wait for June!!

It is shaping up to be a rich weekend of fellowship, learning and stretching forward to grow in Christ.

Let's go over some details:
Friday evening, the wives and daughters will gather in the house , get settled into their rooms and enjoy fellowship and coffee punch while everyone arrives.

The fathers and sons will make their way to the Back Forty, where they will set up their shelters, string their gear lines and gather fire wood. (I bet there will be chips and salsa for them to enjoy! )

Supper time will find the fellows enjoying a fire side meal and the ladies in the house enjoying their repast. Meals and accommodations will continue in this separate manner all weekend. It is a sacrifice for everyone , but this will allow the fathers this special time with their sons and mothers a special weekend with their daughters. We will all be together Sunday morning at church and will enjoy lunch together afterward.

Meals:

Each lady and her daughter(s) will be assigned to a 'meal team' to do one meal. There will be a team leader who will facilitate the menu, assign tasks and see that the load and cost is distributed evenly. The fathers and sons will be similarly arranged.

The parameters for the meals are as follows -

Gentlemen, please plan menus that can be prepared over an open fire and consider that you will need to store refrigerated things in coolers. There will be Chipewa kitchens (not to be confused with Coleman stoves!) and 55 gallon drums of water, but after that you are on your own! I think the guys are going to use 'real' dishes and will enjoy the fellowship of clean-up.
Ladies, please plan menus that can be prepared ahead of time. We don't want any of you to miss sessions. There will be time to set up the meal and do a little bit of prep, but not involved cooking. Think peach soup, wraps, crispy salads, chocolate and crock-pots. We plan to use *gasp* paper products, so the clean-up will be quick. You can bring your own water glass if you like.

Accommodations:
ladies - luxurious (comparatively) and inside
gentlemen - rough(comparatively) and outside

We are doing a new thing with this retreat - charging a registration fee.....$25 per head of household. (We are going to splurge on some porta potties for the guys and pay for all those paper plates!)
You can send a check or money order made out to Christ Berean Church to

Tucker, Plymel and Davis
PO Box 2467
Moultrie , Ga 31776

If we do not have your email address, please get it to us, so we can get to you!

Deadline is May 31, so we will have time to make out the meal assignments, email them to you by Friday and each 'meal team' can get their meal together. Then it will be time to pack your bags and gear and find your way down our drive to the farm for all the fun!

We can't wait to see you!! Please pray for us as we prepare and we are praying for you as you prepare.

{Here is the original post, announcing the Style Show and Father/Son Camp-Out}

Ladies, friends of Calathora and other interested folks, we are excited and pleased to announce

A Style Show for Wives and Daughters

To enable their wives and daughters to be able to give their full attention to the Style Show, the plan was for the gentlemen to spend the weekend with their sons - all ages.

One of the elders in our church tossed out the idea of the guys getting together and having a Father/Son Camp-Out with Fire-side Talks while the ladies have their Style Show. We all thought that sounded great, so, with these two events coinciding, we have adjusted the date to June 10-11.

Please join us for a wonderful weekend, June 10 and 11.

A Style Show for Wives and Daughters at Calathora Farms

and

A Father/Son Camp-Out with Fire-side Talks
at a near-by location
The men are gearing up for some primitive camping - no RVs this time..... sorry guys. Grab your tent, bedroll and boys and come roast a hot dog, share a s'more, wolf down a banana and have some trail mix - we can already hear the bacon sizzling over the camp fire.

The men at Christ Berean Church invite you to join them at a near-by park for a great guy-time. The earnest conversation and sharing around the camp fire and investing time on Saturday with your boys will make the day priceless.

Marc and Michael and some other men have some particular talks they want to share. We all know that families and folks we love are under tremendous pressure and the men of Christ Berean Church want to speak up and give a helping hand to Dads .

We plan to re-unite the families at Calathora Farms on Sunday morning, for church services.

We invite you to come, stay and attend church Sunday morning at Calathora Farms and join us for lunch.

and as for the Style Show....................
We ladies are laughing out loud with excitement at the thought of a weekend filled with old friends and new, chocolate & coffee, style & fun, almost zero sleep and real, earnest comments and guidance on how to communicate through our personal presentation the wonderful things that Jesus Christ has done and is doing - and is going to do - in our lives.

What is a Style show?
This style show will be a weekend of high energy, non-stop, extraordinary times of key note talks, hands-on practicums, individualized attention, fellowship and - lots of chocolate!! We will go over many topics, including

* Style vs. fashion
* Are there spiritual implications to clothing?
*Did you know clothes talk?
*Do the Scriptures have anything to say about style?
* Who ya' dressing for?
* Hair, hair. What do I do with my hair?

We will discuss how we, as Christian women seeking to be distinctively and deliberately feminine, can share the good news of life in Christ by how we dress, walk and carry ourselves.

There will be guest speakers sharing on make-up, color, accessories, figuring out your figure, posture and decorum, how your outlook and attitude affect your face and what to do about it, and sessions and practical ideas to help you say the same thing with your clothing that you say in your heart and with your mouth.

The purpose of the Style Show: To edify, exhort, comfort, challenge and educate the ladies who attend - and to have a wonderful time!

Will there be chocolate and coffee? Why, yes, of course. :)

Will there be organic veggies? That , too. We are organic farmers, after all.

How to Register
We will let you know asap how we are going to handle that very important detail. Reserve your space by emailing us at calathora@windstream.net

Accommodations
The wives and daughters will be in the houses at Calathora Farms. The fathers and sons will be on the Back Forty at Calathora.

The ladies here at Calathora are so excited about this weekend together. We've been planning and studying, tossing out ideas and comparing notes. We hope to see you and your daughters on the 10 and 11!

The men of Christ Berean Church invite all the men and boys to the camp-out. Come on out and be encouraged and spend some time with your sons.

Make plans to join us June 10-11 for the Style Show and Father-Son Campfire Talks. Stay tuned for more details.

Munchie Update

The Little Miss is still taking her time! :) The labor has stopped completely-please pray that it will start back up soon...Kress is incredible.

In the mean time, we are all having a huge party!! Auntie Jacqueline and some of the Smithie kids are here, and we are having a blast. A huge supper tonight under the pergola, with the afternoon sun shining all golden, and a breeze to keeping us cool... I just went down to the woods and brought back a car load of honey suckle, bay flower and privet, and am having a ball putting them everywhere...they smell so, so good!! Missing the rest of the Smithies and Darf and Noah, but having a splendid day. Butterfly Waltz is playing!

Have a beautiful evening.

Love in our precious, loving Saviour,

Adeline

Update on Kressy Belle and Baby

Hello, mon cheris!

Well, labor had slowed to an (almost) stop...Kressy's walking around outside getting some fresh air and exercise (after having taken a nap) and we'll over at our house just chillin', doing normal stuff 'till she calls us...the dear K.'s came, and we are enjoying them so much! Katie dearest made the whole farm a huge pot of spaghetti for supper...she is soo sweet!

Some of the Smithies are on their way!!! I can hardly wait to see them...we miss them so much! We really miss Dorothy, too. Allot.

Almond milk is our new thing! Vanilla. We're having some in celebration. :) Please pray that this precious baby will some soon. Kress is so ready to have her!

Lots of love,

Adeline

What everything feels like at our home right now:

Weather: Cloudy, with a delicious breeze, hazy with smoke...

Smelling: The wonderful smell of a fire.. (someone must be burning off)

Hearing:"Lead Me"
That's our new song, and it is beautiful. It almost makes you cry... The faint sound of little boys voices. I love that sound.

Seeing: This dear, well used 'puter. (it need to be dusted and cleaned)

Feeling: That feeling of waiting. So excited you want to dance. Missing Dorothy. And (although I saw them on Sunday) really missing my church family this afternoon...I love them all so much. Feeling so grateful for children, for family. Head ache-ish because I've had too much sugar and not enough water. :) So grateful for our sister & daughter in law, Kressant. Can hardly wait to hold that baby!!! Mostly the knowledge that we just need our Jesus everyday, and how utterly thankful we are that we are His, and that He is ours...

Looking at pictures during labor...

And I just had to show y'all this one-isn't it just precious!? Now, we'll have to take another one soon with Kressy's newest little one...what pure joy!! Labor still going slow...LOL, would't it be too fun of Mrs. Conley had hers today? ;) We're listening to Kressy's favorite song, Creation Sings...Kressy's resting... Love, Addie

The Baby!!!!!

Good monring, dearest readers!! Kressy's in labor!! We are SO excited...everything's going lovely, and contractions are two minutes apart- B. and K. are here, the dears, and Mama is sitting in the rocker, writing...Michael Jr. is keeping time, and I'm writing! :D It is a gorgeous morning-absolutely stunning...The Mysterious Islands is playing on the lap top (Kressy's loving having a movie going to watch between contractions) and Marth just hopped over...all M&K's boys are over at Aunt Rachies, and the Smithies are packing to come down!! I can hardly wait to hold this precious little one! Praise the Lord. Please lift Kress, Mike and the baby up to the Lord in your prayers. Chickies

Dearest Readerling,

I just wanted to drop a note and show you the newest additions to our farm-100 little bitties! Are they not the fluffiest things you've ever seen? :) Daddy and the boys built a special pen for them and they are all happy, chirping, and growing. :) Paul, Edwin and John 'scoping out the chicks'. ;) Marfa holding one up for a picture...
Daddy's hands and the bitties.
(I love you, Edwin-O!)

Lord willing, we'll be doing a lot of chicken raising and processing this year. We're really looking forward to this new venture. Call us if you would like some! :)

Hope your evening is simply beautiful.

Chunk 'O Life from this past February, according to Adeline and Martha

Adeline and Martha are all cozy...the house is quiet and all are asleep, (except them). They are looking at pictures in the laptop and laughing hysterically....they are writing down (some of) what they are saying when they look at each shot...it is cool and windy outside, and wet-it just stopped raining. Adeline is ecstatic about a quilt she started today, and hoping it will turn out as she anticipates. Martha started a skirt, which is pink and she is concerned she made it too short. The fabric looks like her. February is their sewing month this year-they are so, so excited!!!

Adeline ruined her precious package of hot chocolate powder this evening by pouring (unbeknowest to herself) mint tea (that was in the water pot instead of water) into her prepared mug. She was distressed. Martha found a very large spider while she was deep cleaning. Critter and Carlo came over this afternoon, and Aunt Marfa and Aunt Poog became prancing, unruly horses for the afternoon, complete with pawing, biting other horses and neighing.

The two children were terrified.

Adeline started *gulp* " Annals of the World, her book for February. (and maybe for March, April, May, June.....) It is a massive, intimidating but very interesting book for her. . Martha is reading Sixpence in her Shoe, that incredible book Adeline was reading last month that she was telling you about. It is good for them to read books.

They have had a blessed day and are so thankful to the Lord...
And now, they are enjoying being together and looking at pictures....

A few weeks ago, Wesley and Rach come over for monopoly. It was glorious chaos and laughing almost nonstop....
Adeline: That's my pile, right there! A whole monopoly, money and free stays forever on my hotel-burdened neighbors!! Awesome...almost won.
Adeline: "That serious look means he believes in the deal he's offering you."

Martha: "Must be financially unstable."

Adeline: Winter is bad for me...

Martha: "She's the winner, and she knows it..."
Adeline: "LOL, Wesley!! He's so cute...Never could get that deal..."
Adeline: Sam's obviously offering me three of something...I look unconvinced...

Martha: Awww, Edwin's believing little heart there-taken in by every word...Look, he's trading him with a purple! I remember so many times I was jilted..."Lost so many dogs..."
Martha: He's cold.

Adeline:... very nice scarf...
Adeline: He's definitely the winner. Stead Stir has a keen sense of financial prowess!!
Adeline and Martha: "Rachie-Pachie! We 'wove' her!!
Martha: "ah. bless my heart."

Adeline: (laughs) "I love this picture of you, Marth..."
Martha "Look, him's distraught..."
Adeline: "Poor thing. On the brink of financial runination...."

Ah, that was a fun night....
Adeline: "Oh, and look at this! Isn't it lovely? The boys have been doing these really neat experiments lately, and we've been enjoying them through the magnifying glass...
Winter View

Adeline: I'm so glad Dee planted these!!! She is awesome!
"OH my goodness..."

When Paul was talking to Dorothy for over an hour one afternoon... ;) So precious!
Mason Jar
Adeline: "Martha-one of the most diligent women I've ever known!!" Adeline: Dear Mama. So sweet to wipe out all that mouse poop. (we'd been having an epidemic......)
Martha: (laughing) It's looks like you're on a sugar high!! :D

Adeline: Definitely a bad hair day. But that is my favorite outfit, which is good. :)
Martha: These are from a friend's old office.

Adeline: See, they're even green!! :D With beautiful brass handles. They're for organizing our patterns in the sewing room- they're prefect, and we love 'em...

Well, goodnight !
Have a blessed, beautiful day tomorrow!!

~Adeline and Martha, with love

Three Pictures for the Day (and some incredible clouds)

Sister Mine-friend, joyful, lovely and diligent-and making one of my favorite pictures of late!Brother Mine-Cleveland. So obliging to his sister who thinks he's wonderful and that he must have his picture taken with an old black umbrella. And my little Niece! Who brings such happy, pure pleasure to all who see her, walking around in little spring dresses, with the wind blowing her soft curls...And, clouds that covered half the sky over our farm this morning...they took my breath away and have awed me since...our God amazing and powerful!

Goodnight, dearest readers! Hugs and 'tisses!
